Gearing for New Things

I’m back from my first conference introducing ZooFit, and I’m pretty revved to get more projects started and finished. Luckily for me, next month is NaNoWriMo, and I am not only encouraged to focus my time on writing, I’m almost expected to.

For those not in the know, NaNoWriMo is short for National Novel Writing Month. Last year, I entered NaNoWriMo with exhaustion from working on my fitness book night and day. I decided to have a little fun, and changed my focus to my memoir essays I was calling “What Do You Do With the Dolphins When it Rains?”. It was not just fun, it was therapeutic. I finished the month with over 50,000 words and a lot of great stories.

This year, I am riding high on momentum to continue working on my ZooFit platform, to show people what it’s all about. I gave a couple great examples with ZooFit Exercise Guide and Reuse, Recycle, Reduce Your Waist. I have been working on my Conservation Fitness Program Guide, and I want to finish one more short book I’m calling Positive Reinforcement is Not a Burger After the Gym by February.

For my Conservation Fitness Guide, I am almost completely done with it, but it needs a LOT of testing before I publish it. So starting Monday, I am going through the entire program with the hubby. Four weeks, 28 days, 112 meals. I’m sticking to the book and the recipes so I can see how easy/hard it is to follow precisely. I’m keeping track of the groceries each week, calorie count and macronutrients each day, and tweaking only when I find it necessary.

Once I complete the challenge myself, start to finish, I’ll make adjustments and then give the program to some friends who are willing to participate in the challenge as closely as possible. After that, I am hoping to get with one of the gyms I’m involved with to run a test program, hopefully around the first of the year.

After each of these tests, I’m going to tweak the program, and hopefully have it completed and ready for publishing by March.

For my personal test run, I plan to post daily to discuss setbacks, issues, and things that work well. I’ll be sharing recipes, workouts, and wellness tips each day.

I hope you follow along, and learn some great ways to promote a healthier life while improving your impact on the environment. It’ll be a great learning experience for everyone.
