30 Days of Experiencing Nature: Day 5- A Perfect Picnic

Yesterday I was a little frustrated with some aspects outside my control, but I decided to try to make the best of a less than ideal situation, and it seems to have paid off. Today, I got a feel for what my days will look like normally as we progress into summer, and it seems rather nice.

After coming up with a ZooFit list for work, I actually am getting a little excited to try some of my practices out. I already got to test out one of my ideas- picnic dinners once a week.

My mother-in-law gave us a nice picnic backpack. Since my parents were visiting and I was working, I suggested they meet me at the park for a picnic style dinner. They met me early with salads and sandwiches, and I was able to sit down, enjoy the view and a nice healthy meal with my family.

I thought this might be a nice activity to continue throughout the summer. Once a week I can start something in the crockpot, head to work, and meet my husband at my dinner time for a comfy little picnic. Maybe even have Chris grill something to bring out to eat.

Eating healthy and enjoying nature are pillars for ZooFit and Conservation Fitness. Enjoying a picnic is the best of both. Eating Green and Experiencing Nature.

Not sure how much better it can really get.
